Manchester United Football Club Bites the Bullet: British soccer club Manchester United is relaunching its See Red online football joint venture with Sky under the banner MU.tv at the end of September. The premium content service will house all United’s premium content, including action, news, player interviews, features and, potentially, radio-style commentary. Monthly subscriptions will remain at £3.99 a month, but the annual fee of £25 is set to rise.

Manchester United is also relaunching its manuMobile wireless business as MU Now, in conjunction with its principal sponsor, Vodafone. The club will offer text alerts to Vodafone users. SMS trivia, voting and polling, ringtones and logos, plus downloadable player voicemails for use as answering machine messages will be accessible through all networks. Premium products such as still images and commentary clips are in the pipeline.
