AssignmentEditor.com Cuts Subscription Fee by 60 Percent: AssignmentEditor.com, the journalist resource site which went pay in September last year, is making portions of the site free again and lowering premium subscription fees by 60 percent. In September, AssignmentEditor.com began charging a monthly subscription fee, following two years as a free site. Subscribers paid $4.99 or $9.99 for two levels of access to its directory and resource links.

Now, the fee has been dropped to $3.99. “Ten months ago, economics forced us to start charging for access,” said Jim Lichtenstein, CEO/Founder in a statement. “If we hadn’t switched to a subscription model, we would have gone out of business like hundreds of other Internet companies.” Suggestion: Become part of Poynter…or work out some co-promotion deal with them.
